Run for the Cheetah 2011!

Thanks to Portland's overwhelming response to our call to action, we had one of the best Run for the Cheetah events in our history. Hundreds of runners sprinted through Washington Park, and herds of children sporting faces painted as cheetahs dashed through the Zoo on a beautiful Sunday morning. All of this was done in support of the great work the Cheetah Conservation Fund is doing to help the cheetah in its race for survival.

This year by the numbers:
8K Runners/Walkers163
5K Runners/Walkers234
Kids Dash142

This fantastic event raised much needed funds for the Cheetah Conservation Fund and it could not have happened without this heartening response!

On behalf of the Cheetah Conservation Fund, thank you for all that you do for the cheetah. Together we can keep the cheetah in the wild for future generations. Your support is invaluable.

We especially would like to thank our many NW Cheetah Partners, whose support has been invaluable!
